Why are people rating this news as negative? It seems like a decent update to a good program, and it's free for existing Aperture users. What were you expecting?

Wow. The ignorance of the average user of this forum is unbelievable, So much ranting about an app that nobody has to download if they hate ads so much.
In any case, this is no different than the many many websites, blogs , YouTube accounts etc dedicated exclusively to collect tv, radio, and paper advertising from many countries. There's a lot of people who like to see ads and analyze the creativity and technique behind them.

I would have a turntable in front of the garage. You can devote less space to the driveway area.
Turntables are for people who can't afford enough space or live in busy areas. They are a waste of time and energy. An optimally-sized driveway is a more elegant solution.
Also, to only have *1* walk-in in the master rather than 2 is not good. No home theater? Large gym with panoramic views? Sauna/steam room/? Sun room? Library? Detached guest suite or guest house (in-law/nanny quarters, etc.)? Swimming pool? Hot tub?
Those things are for the new rich or the status-insecure. When you're sufficiently wealthy to actually do whatever you want that stuff is junk and a waste of time.

I have to agree with OP. I paid �500 for my iPhone (i work for a UK mobile network so wanted to use my staff sim rather than get on a 18/24m contract) on launch and every day I have to deal with snide remarks from people I work with. One with a WP7 and one with a Palm Pre. They usually revert to the antenna or flash argument which have never been an issue for me.
It's always unprovoked and usually occurs when comparing an app with another iPhone user, to which they'll bulldoze in and start wittering on about Steve Jobs or calling me a "fanboy"...heh
Nothing you can do but accept this will always be the case when purchasing an Apple product as I got exactly the same kinds of retorts when using my MBP or even the little Magic Mouse...

That again? You do realize that 9/11 had very little to do with airport security but everything to do with incompetence on the side of the secret service and negligence on the side of the US government? TSA has not made airtravel any safer than prior to 9/11.

It is simply another security layer and that in itself will deter some from giving it a try. Ok, Mr. Intelligent. It's been 3 years since the original iPhone launched. Perhaps Apple found a way to make a phone out of aluminum or a similar material, without affecting performance? Also, the iPad is made out of aluminum, yet it uses 3G service. You're acting like you know for sure what will happen, and you don't. None of us do.
And saying that, I feel the plastic cover has design faults which Apple are surely going to try and iron out.
Who has a 3G or 3GS which has cracks/ed on the bottom where the plug goes in? A huge flaw... Big enough of a flaw for me to know people who have walked into the Apple store and Apple just exchanged it for a new one...

Not so sure it has to be one or the other. Oh mac rumors posters we just love to polarize things to make our point.
As i see it the app store awards are "mostly" a win-win. Developers who receive the award get promoted to the hilt by apple because now promoting and selling apps becomes more relevant to Apple's enlightened self interest (pocket book). The developers will reap more sales($) than they did relative to previous years, because of more active promotion by apple - e.g. a prominent award listing on the app store.
Welcome to good business folks this is what it looks like - it has a lot to do with both parties banking more from the deal.

As Apple themselves have pointed out, the number of displayed bars on a phone is often not very meaningful.
What's important, is how much dBm change occurs and especially whether or not the connection drops.
Ok but the problem is that 99% of the people are naive and only pay attention to the bars they see on the screen.

OK if anyone wants to make up for the spoiler incidents, I would appreciate someone pointing out a application that allows you to save quicktime and other forms of media by downloading it to our computers (aside from the obvious purchase to a quicktime pro). For example downloadhelper is normally great at this, but it is not kicking in for me in this situation. :confused:

I don't think there's any arguing that Verizon has the most stable 3G network, but the biggest question is, if they do get the iPhone, can Verizon's 3G network maintain the same quality with a quick influx of a few million iPhone users?

The campaign is great, and you really get attached to the characters.
I don't know what you're all talking about.
No, having to replay sections over and over and over and over, just to learn what is killing you is not great. It is crappy 90s game design, that we should not have to deal with in 2010. Crappy checkpoints mixed with crappy enemy and team "AI" (if you can call it that) make for a really crappy game. I'm turning it down to Recruit just to get it over with, so I can flush it from my mind as quick as possible.
I beat both MW games on Hardened, and about half of the levels of each on Veteran. While the plot in both was ludicrous, they were at least fun. Lots of clear objectives, teammates who would stay out of the way, and very few of those "monster closet" moments (grrrrr, Favela :mad:) Those games were fun from start to finish. Black Ops is just a mess of crazy flashbacks cutscenes, messy game design, and terrible direction.
Yeah. I liked MW2's campaign better. It may be because I am from the DC area so it was quite weird seeing it war torn.
How about Fallout 3? I've never been to DC, but I find it really funny how when I see it on TV or in movies now, I recognize so much of it, and where things are, just from my hundreds of hours in that game. :D

But what's even funnier, is that all the while, the unions bring us down. They ruin education, give millions of dollars to crappy candidates that are just going to repay them later by pushing crappy legislation that helps out the unions.
They do little-to-no good for anyone, and are some of the strongest and most corrupt political machines in existence. But people are afraid of big businesses?
grow up, and don't ask for more than you earn. It's your job to earn your money. It's not the governments job to baby you the whole way there, and its pitiful to rely on a union to make sure you get overpaid and have job security no matter how bad you are at your job
